A new approach for the illustrations that I made for Metamorphosis (German: Die Verwandlung) novella written by Franz Kafka. Initially, the illustrations had a contemporary bold impression and it was perfect for the brief - modern illustrations for educated young adults with interested in books also as an aesthetic object.
To give them an appropriation sens, closer with the meaning behind the obvious I felt the need to metamorphose them again. The fear of unknown, isolation, perception of the space, all got a new dimension. The illustrations emphasize the key moments of the novel. Visuals are subtle and tense, giving an overall sense of the medium. In this way, the reader could use the imagination for a complete journey. The vignettes highlight the main points.
